I have a passion for sharing the gift of horses with others. I have experience teaching all age ranges and experience levels. From ages 5 through adult. I love to keep it fun and engaging, but my utmost priority is safety and knowledge. This is why every lesson at HHH is not only just a riding lesson, but a horsemanship lesson. We learn everything from how to safely catch and halter a horse, to saddling and bridling. We also learn aftercare and putting your horse away. I strongly believe that horsemanship is the key to riding and you will overall be a better rider if you put the horse first.
I start all of my younger students bareback. This teaches them many benefits of riding including but not limited to: Balance, proper seat position, how to relax with their horse, trust and effective communication. Once they have mastered the walk and trot and can control their horse effectively bareback. They graduate to a saddle and we learn to post the trot, lope, and more advanced techniques.
I also love teaching teens and adults. Whatever your current level or goals are. I can help you learn from the beginning, or help you achieve the next level of riding! I also offer teaching/coaching sessions in specific disciplines that you may be competing in. Including, but not limited to: 4H/show preparation, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Reining, Barrels, Poles and more!
While they are not required, I STRONGLY encourage you to come for weekly lessons while your horse is here in training at HHH. This helps me see where your riding level is at and helps me improve your riding which ensures that you understand the training and riding style that your horse is being taught here and when your horse returns from training you will be a much more confident and effective team. We usually start out on one of my personal lesson horses for the first few lessons, and then I have you start riding your horse when I feel like it's a good time to start joining you back together as a team.
